Group A and B is about Gazetted posts while Group C and D includes Non-gazetted posts.

Group A posts: It includes services such as an Indian Railway Personnel Service, Store Service, Traffic Service, Medical Service and Accounts Service. The UPSC appoints staff through

Group B posts: The upgraded posts from Group C is in Group B. In this group, the posts are not recruited directly.

Group C posts: This group includes technical and non technical staff. Railway Recruitment Board recruits this staff. The technical posts include driver, station master and motormen. These jobs required special training and skills set. The board conduct written exam as well as interview to recruit people.

Railway Recruitment Board hires non technical staff through competitive exam. The

work handles by the non technical staff include file management, accounts work, ticket booking and collection. Typist, clerks and cashier are some of the non technical posts.

Group D posts: The basic qualification for group D post is matriculation. It is mandatory for job seeker to clear the written test. In electrical, mechanical and traffic department the group D posts include helper, peon, gateman, safaiwala and porter.

• Candidates have to submit their basic details and upload the photograph and signature in the online application form. Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the given Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.
• Payment of fees or intimation charges will be done through ONLINE MODE.
• Candidates must take a printout of the e-receipt.

Notes:-

1. There will be penalty for wrong answers one fourth or 0.25 of the marks will be deducted as penalty.
2. Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score in each test and also on total.
3. An online application which is incomplete in any respect such as without photograph and signature uploaded in the online application form will not be considered as valid.
4. IBPS does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within last date.
5. On-line procedure is the only valid procedure for applying.
